Lotos Collective's STAR education programme is seeking a video editor with an interest in documentary filmmaking to complete the documentary based on Youth Visions: Transforming Our Futures Together, an applied arts project created during a residency project in northeastern Ghana, West Africa in 2008.
The successful candidate would receive one roundtrip ticket from London-Ghana to the film screening with the participants, in lieu of a fee. This was a charity project and all fees are reinvested into the project. The film would need to be edited February March 2010 with travel dates to Ghana 9-19 April 2010. A talented aspiring or experienced comic book Artist is required to draw/ink/colour a project based on an existing feature film script. The project is not in the superhero genre but more slice-of-life with added quirkiness. The comic book is not intended to be sold but rather to promote the film - that said, we will be treating it as a serious project and aim to expose and promote it via the internet. There is no pay initially, but reasonable expenses for the Artist will be paid, as well as a set fee being negotiated and paid to the Artist should the film be purchased for theatrical and/or television broadcast.
Anyone applying for this post should be able to base the comic characters on actors cast for the film roles, and be able to scan their work onto the pdf format. We also require anyone replying to have samples available of their work. |
