This position is based in Dublin, Ireland where the Network Engineer will be a member of an extremely skilled team working in a highly modular environment monitoring the existing worldwide corporate facilities. As a member of this team you will receive extensive training and gain superior troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge through hands on execution of your day to day duties. The ideal candidate will combine excellent troubleshooting and communication skills which have been gained on an enterprise level network, self-motivated with a willingness to learn, take direction, and have an enthusiastic attitude. This is a full-time position. Additional tasks and assignments may be required to meet the needs of the business.
Core Requirements • 3 – 5 years experience with enterprise / corporate level networks • 4 year college degree, Computer Science major preferred • Network certification or equivalent training/experience preferred such as CCNP or Juniper equivalent • Must be familiar with network routing protocols including OSPF and BGP • In-depth experience deploying WAN connections including T1 and DS-3+ • Experience resolving and troubleshooting test and turn up issues with carrier based solutions, circuits, and hardware • Knowledge and experience with a broad base of routers and switches from a variety of manufacturers • Experience with Ethernet switching technologies including Spanning Tree, 802.1Q, and EtherChannel • Knowledge of TCP/IP, IPSec, VRRP, HSRP, and SNMP protocols • Knowledge of Firewalls, NAT, and UNIX • Operational knowledge of wireless hardware and protocols, specifically 802.x • Operational experience with security issues and access control mechanisms • Knowledge of standard network change management and configuration policies • Experience with network monitoring and other network administrative tools • Assist in the development and production of infrastructure documentation standards for deployment and ongoing maintenance • Support implementation of network infrastructure • Must have the ability to work closely with other team members, and independently • Highly organized and detailed orientated • Superior communication skills • Creative problem solving abilities |
